A brief overview
Tachanger Services Ltd. was formed in 1990 to meet an
increasing requirement from the Electricity Supply
Industry for a specialist company in tapchanger
maintenance and repair.
Our experience spans over 50 years of the tapchanger
industry. Our engineers have been involved in the design,
development, repair and maintenance of tapchangers
both in the UK and overseas on behalf of Ferranti, AEI,
GEC and ATL.
Our engineers have working experience of all
manufacturers including ABB, MR, Ferranti, AEI, ATL and
many more and are experienced in carrying out
maintenance and repair on all types of tapchangers on-
site or at our workshop.
Our personnel are all National Grid Company accredited
and all hold current CCNSG safety passports.
Tapchanger Services Ltd. engineers and technicians have
considerable experience of working under site specific
safety regulations on power generation and distribution
sites as well as large industrial power consumers.

Time served and fully qualified. Guy joined
his father at the family business -

With an extended diploma in Mechanical
Manufacturing & Engineering, Alex joined
us as an apprentice in 2011 and quickly
became a full time member of the team.
